Our Family of Doctors and Physician Assistants:

Dr. Jennifer Ruel, DNP, FNP-BC, ABAAHP
Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner

Hello, my name is Jennifer.

I work with individuals, families, communities and health systems in developing integrative approaches to health promotion, disease prevention and chronic disease management. I provide an integrative approach; which includes engaging the patient as an informed and empowered partner, personalizing care and using all appropriate, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including lifestyle changes, to achieve optimal health and wellbeing.

I am working with Macomb Therapy Group to help give clients the opportunity to integrate a more holistic and herbal approach to managing mental health concerns, opposed to traditional pharmaceutical psychotropic medications.

Taylor Hennrick, PA-C
Physician Assistant

Hello, my name is Taylor Hennrick.

I am a NCCPA Certified Physician Assistant. I studied at University of Detroit Mercy, where I graduated in 2015. I started my career in Internal Medicine at DMC Sinai Grace Hospital before I found my calling as a mental health provider. I have a passion for helping those in need and improving the lives of all seeking assistance.

I work with children (ages 6+), adolescents, and adults of all ages. In evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a wide variety of psychiatric disorders, I employ the experience I have gained working all over Southeast Michigan in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. I firmly believe in the union of psychotropic medications and psychotherapy leading to progress, no matter the condition.

Sarang Patel, PA-C
Physician Assistant

Hi, I am Sarang.

I am a board certified and licensed physician assistant in the state of Michigan, with full prescribing and diagnosing privileges. I received my undergraduate degree in Biology, and graduated with a Master’s of Science and Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Detroit Mercy. I have extensive psychiatric experience, in a variety of settings, including, but not limited to: inpatient psychiatric hospital care, private practice care, community mental health, and geriatric psychiatric care.

No two individuals are the same and all client’s psychiatric care should be customized to fit their specific needs. I strongly believe that developing a lasting patient-provider partnership, in a judgment-free zone, is essential for the patient’s overall health. I look forward to joining you on your journey to healing.

Licensed Master Social Worker

Hello, my name is Jack.

Your life offers you many challenges, opportunities really, to learn and grow; emotionally, spiritually, and to heal your mental pain. When you ignore, or actively push away these challenges, you begin to suffer. Your suffering affects your loved ones while your challenges and problems remain.

Your emotions are here to teach you, never punish, though it can feel that way when you don't pay attention to your life lessons or become overwhelmed. This is a guiding principle I employ with my patients to acknowledge, welcome, understand, and heal from their woundedness. In other words, what is in the way is the way.

I work with adults, couples, and adolescents (14+) in a caring and supportive atmosphere. We will explore and identify useful skills to gain a deeper understanding in an effort to address trauma, anxiety  Read more
